Used car sales Hustle revisited....

In a previous post we covered this hustle and some of the tools to help you get started. As with most hustles this one will appeal to some more than others. If you like it this is a great time to start. This time of year many people are expecting income tax refunds and plan to buy a car. Because consumer confidence is still low and various credit issues many will buy outright with cash. This is where you come in. Many cars for sale by owner are perfectly good vehicles that have been replaced by newer ones. Do your research, buy a good used car for $1500 or so, clean it up, do minor repairs and flip it for $2500 more. Rinse and repeat. At the $1900 to $2500 price range you will attract buyers as soon as you list the car for sale. You might do 2 or 3 deals a month during tax season and scale down to 1 a month the rest of the year. Not a bad second income. In my state you can assign the car title over by signing the back, no bill of sale needed. To avoid mistakes and learn the business quickly check our recommended resource or you might work this hustle as an independent sales representative. You'll get paid to prospect for small car lots usually called "Buy Here, Pay Here" lots. Almost all of these businesses pay referral or finders fees. Develop a contact at H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt and have them pass potentials to you for a small finders fee of their own. You could just hang around the offices of these tax preparers and hand out business cards (get them super cheap from VistaPrint.com ). One car dealer in my town pays 20% of the gross profit on each sale discovered by their independent contractors. Check your local Craigslist or ask dealers directly. Remember Hustlers can't be shy :-)

How to Hustle On 24 hours a day......

Many of us love the Hustler lifestyle and the control it gives us over our future earning potential. Often however, we are working a full time job as well until we reach "job escape velocity". This requires us to be sacrifice most of our personal time to keep our hustles on track and find creative ways to get things done. To that end I would like to share some of the tools I use daily.

1) No surprise here, a smartphone. Can't live without it, from managing my daily To Do list, to posting content on my blogs to keeping updated on Twitter/Linkedin. My phone allows me to be productive anywhere. I use Android Apps to track everything from ClickBank sells to Adsense analytics (love the cash register sound when notified of a ClickBank sell).

2) Web based productivity tools. Many of the daily challenges we face boil down to performing task quickly and efficiently. A decent project management program cost nothing and when integrated with your calendar is a powerful tool. I currently use a program and app called Goals To Do. Break down your project into it's smallest pieces and you have tasks, schedule these and you are halfway there.

3) This is the big one: Other people's time. I know it may sound bad to refer to this as a tool, but this is why companies hire employees. They benefit from the efficiency gained when people work together. Frankly, I utilize my kids a lot. As teenagers it's simple to have them do research and time draining but critical task like submitting URL's to the search engines. Pay them a small amount and offer them profit sharing so they're less likely to slack off :-)

4) Wake up 1 hour earlier each day. Use the quite time to focus on moving your hustles forward. This one change will be life changing.
If you can get to bed early to make this happen -great. If not sleep less it's worth it.

More Hustlers Needed! - Start 2011 Off With A Hustle Of Your Own.....

At our ShareYourHustle blog, we are always on the look out for a good way to hustle up cash aside from our day jobs. We often forget that many people need the extra cash but currently lack the vision to work many of the hustles we offer here. So I am dialing things back a bit to offer some easy, low cost, brand recognizable hustles to get more people in the game.

Share Your Hustle readers might cringe at this but - yes, You Can Make Money With Amway and Avon!

Avon calling! How old is that phrase? Well over a hundred years. In fact, the Avon lady has been a cultural staple since the late 1800's. Long before facebook, twitter and article marketing, there have been companies like Avon and Amway that turned social networking into cold, hard, cash.

Is it still successful in this modern world? Absolutely. The power of the internet has certainly enhanced these companies, but building a home based business by selling household items and cosmetics continues to be driven by people and not the mouse pad. Trust, reputation and integrity are built through decades of customer satisfaction.

Becoming a sales representative for these respected companies is a simple as putting your social skills to work. Are you friendly? Do you have some friends? Start there. Your cash investment will be nearly zero and as sales come, and so will referrals. You'll be surprised.

The personal interaction, product demonstration and home delivery are the key elements that make these companies successful. Luckily, for men and women all over the world, these companies have opted not to change their success pattern and continue to offer paid commissions on the items you sell.

If you want to hustle up a little extra cash, this is a great way to do it. Before you know it, you'll have a network of loyal, repeat customers, anxiously awaiting the new product lines. Many sales representatives start out part-time, to pick up a little spending money. However, along with the brand name power, they are also offering high quality, reputable products that a customer can trust.

Word gets around, customers tell friends, relatives and neighbours about the great deals they found with you. (They might even tweet it.) Catalogues are shared at the office, referrals are given, more sales are made. Maybe you'll have five steady clients, maybe you'll have forty. It's really up to you.

In every city and town there are people who are currently selling Avon, Amway, Herbalife and Tupperware. They all make money, enjoy what they are doing and have made some good friends in the bargain.

Basically, each sale you make earns a profit for you. The more you sell, the more money you make. These are the companies that created social marketing. The viral effect is evident when someone you barely know asks you for a catalogue.

As with any hustle, you get what you put into it. You must be ready to tell people "I sell Amway!" (Or Avon, or Tupperware, or Mary Kay...) You must be willing to answer questions, and ask for the sale. Offer every catalogue with ambition, deliver every order with a smile. It's a lot like the Affiliate Marketing hustle we love so much here, but its low tech and face to face.

Don't limit your options to the companies listed here. There are many great choices and one is sure to be a perfect fit. Use this as a low risk way to join us hustlers in our quest for financial independence!
